Once upon a time, there was a geek in Belgium named Karen. She had a distaste for writing bios about herself, but a passion for many other things. Her heart would skip a beat for educational sciences and Pedagogy, but she did not linger. With interests in playfulness, digital games, non-formal learning, co-design, maker education, digital creativity and many more, she became a true PedaGeek.
In her personal life, she pursuits all things nerdy and geeky, together with her Corgi sidekick, Ziggy Stardust. Karen enjoys surrounding herself with comic books, videogames, Batman figurines and so on. Her unrelenting thirst for learning has led her into new fields such as drawing, illustration, creative design, coding and frontend web development. (Really, when does she sleep?)
Currently, she spends her days at Maks vzw, enabling children, youngsters and adults in Brussels to become more digitally skilled, for example through super fun coding camps.
